These are the essence of AYSO, and it all starts with Everyone Plays. Here in AYSO, Everyone Plays means that no kid spends their soccer experience sitting on the bench. Every kid plays three-quarters of every game. Teams are put together in a way that makes playing soccer about the experience, not wins or losses. It’s not about blowing out another team; it’s about sportsmanship and learning to be the best possible teammate and opponent. Developing players is what we’re about because soccer skills and life skills go hand in hand. AYSO’s main purpose is to get kids on the field, provide them with good coaches, and teach them to play soccer. |

Everyone Plays in our AYSO Community
AGE
4 and older, participants do not age out of the EPIC Program.
* This is a coed program. *
The AYSO EPIC Program provides athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities the additional support they need
to fully participate in a quality soccer experience. The ultimate goal of the AYSO EPIC Program is to provide a
holistic AYSO experience for players, families, and volunteers, from team uniforms, to playing on a team,
to cheering from the sidelines, for all participants.

AYSO Playground Soccer
Boys Division & Girls Division
* This is not a coed program.*
This program requires parent participation.
AGE
For players that turn 3 Years Old by August 15.
AYSO Playground is a child development program.
The objective of this program is to help develop, the child’s fundamental motor skills using soccer as a common thread.
This innovative fundamental motor skills based program features Coaches, certified through the
AYSO National Coaching Program, who understand the needs and capabilities of this age group.

5U
Boys Division & Girls Division

AGE
For boys & girls that turn 4 years old this year.
Schoolyard is designed to introduce basic soccer fundamentals
and expose children to the game of soccer in a fun
and low-pressure setting. |
6U / 7U / 8U
Boys Divisions & Girls Divisions
* These are not coed divisions.*
AGE
6U - Players turning 5 years old this year.
7U - Players turning 6 years old this year.
8U - Players turning 7 years old this year.
Our 6U, 7U, and U8 divisions focus on exposing children
to the game of soccer, building basic fundamental
soccer skills and applying them in fun,
non-competitive game situations.
At this level, games are played on smaller modified fields without goalkeepers.

| 10U / 12U / 14U
Boys Divisions & Girls Divisions
* These are not coed divisions. *
AGE
10U - Players turning 8 or 9 years old this year.
12U - Players turning 10 or 11 years old this year.
14U - Players turning 12 or 13 years old this year.
These competitive divisions play on modified fields
(larger than our non-competitive fields) with goalkeepers.
All levels include 10 games and
the possibility of advancing to post-season playoffs.

16U & 19U
Boys Divisions & Girls Divisions

AGE
16U - Players turning 14 or 15 years old this year.
19U - Players turning 16, 17, or 18 years old this year.
Our 19U teams participate inter-region play,
with other teams from Area 10W, outside of Region 39.
Not all games are played in Ventura.
The 16U & 19U season conclude in time for
players to participate in their high school season,
in accordance with CIF regulations. |
